Walk Forward

Sometimes, you meet a wonderful person, but it’s only for a brief instant. Maybe on vacation or on a train or maybe even in a bus line. And they touch your life for a moment, but in a special way. And instead of mourning because they can’t be with you for longer, or because you don’t get the chance to know them better, isn’t it better to be glad that you met them at all?

— Marian Keyes, Watermelon (via simply-quotes)

Mr. S is much closer to my sister now. I stopped waiting for her and that has given them time to tell stories to each other. I wish I was at least still part of their conversations, but I’ve come to understand that those conversations wouldn’t exist with me in the picture. It’s fine…or I’m forcing myself to think it’s fine. haha I don’t really know myself. My sister has been kind to tell me what he tells her. I’m happy with that. In the future, I wish to find someone who I could have the deepest conversations with. I don’t think it’s Mr. S, right now.
